This little gem of a movie was quite worth the watch.

Well worth the watch before the cliches start piling up.

The only complaint that I have is that it felt a bit long because it got a little repetitive, especially during the training sessions.

Billy had to survive from the first moment he was dragged off to the jail and his prayer had begun.

This was one long fight scene drawn out over an hour and 40 minutes when it could all have been accomplished within a 30 minute short.

Could have had more direction but nonetheless worth watching .

Bad story, Bad Director,Bad Movie and waste of time The movie didn't provide something new neither any value.

Highly recommend watching this crazy heart wrenching and adrenaline pumping movie.

Disgustingly unnecessarily dragged out male rape scene.

Good story but terribly slow .

Brutal, nasty, rousing and very realistic film about Billy Moore, who comes to Thailand for drug dealing in Thailand without Thai language skills.

Boring movie , similar scenes .

The acting by all cast - even extras (mostly ex-convicts) was very convincing and intense, and Joe Cole nailed his role.

somewhat boring .

Nevertheless, a really intense film based on a true story, filmed really well overall.

Incoherent, no plot AT ALL, a complete lack of context, flat characters, boring and endless 'fighting' scenes, uncountable plot holes, dialogue is unrealistic.

I don't want to speak for the plot or for the acting or for the screenwriting strategy (btw I love the Cole) , I just want to say that it was boring , and the cause is that it had similar scenes ...

Boring movie.

No real plot / storyline.

At times watching it felt pretty much like getting a knife to the gut, especially in one unbearable scene that I don't want to spoil, plus it's a bit to graphic to explain.

Gritty and compelling, this film is worth a watch.

it's a slow, realistic, painful movie, about what happens inside a Thai prison, which is basically hell, Don't expect to see an action movie, it is not, and do expect to see some horrible and disturbing sites.

Joe Cole plays his role fantastically and convincingly and director Jean-Stéphane Sauvaire succeeds in staging a dramatic and compelling story based on true events.

Very intense, very raw, feels real and all-around great movie.

Intense and produced/filmed really well .

I thought it was going to focus largely on Thai boxing and prison antics but too much time was spent on filming boring visuals of sitting around.

This is not a film with fancy camera angles, it's well paced to show a sense how slow time is passing, visceral & sometimes hard to watch (male rape scene).

too much violence that's getting somewhat tiresome unless u are related somehow to that guy....

Adding to the confusion, Thai dialogue is not always translated, although this may be a device to highlight Moore's own bewilderment as to what is going on around him (in which case, it succeeded!

Although the story leads up to a climactic fight, it avoids cliche by offering no sense of build-up.

As if something so boring deserves a feature film?

boring bland characters tired clichéd plot why does this always happen?

Hard to watch, repetitive, ultra slow movie .

The most boring movie ever .

While this was a good movie, with good acting and directing, I found the entire experience to be painfully slow.

I was on the edge of my seat the entire span of the movie.

Ponderous, moving at a snails pace.

Do you long for the slow and degrading movie to just end for the sake of humanity?

This intense movie immerses you from the beginning to the end.

Gripping and relentless.

All in all great cinematography, shot in a style that gives you the feeling of being there, story is rubbish - waste of time.

Worth the watch.

An amazing sleep is guaranteed since literally nothing happens.

Breathtaking, Mind-blowing, Unbelievable!!.

Contrived ending.

boring action.

Stunning .

The whole cast did such a marvellous job recreating life in these intense conditions, so much so, it almost felt like a documentary at times.

a waste of time

Yes, there is little dialogue in the film, and yes the film as long odd stretched of the narrative not really moving forward, but I found it fascinating and riveting.

The true story is completely fascinating but the movie does a great job in letting you feel the despairing and repetitive world in the prison.

Engaging True Story .

Brutal, intense and realistic.

Really intense prison-/boxing-/survival-drama.

I really enjoyed it as movie lover and a boxer

Fighting boredom...

It's a good story that happens to be true, with usual dramatic interpretation, but still well worth watching

Also it's unbearable repetitive (which prison reality probably is).

CONS Very slow pacing.

Some plot points and storylines are confusing.

Though the movie is pretty intense, I wouldn't consider it entertaining in any way.

the worst movie I ever saw .

The cinematography and the soundtrack elevate the characters and the scenes even more, becoming immersed to the experiences of Billy Moore.

The movie has a good storyline but the pacing is extremely slow.

Really boring crappy movie.

A combination of one giant dream and a documentary style that may be unique but that I found truly enjoyable though very depressing.

The pacing is extremely slow.
