It's not as absorbing as I would like, but it's still enjoyable.

The kids were behaving, which surprised me to no end, but a couple fell asleep.

Worth watching!

Boring .

It has a stunning soundtrack, OK acting, a nice story, gorgeous cinematography, and a few likable characters.

Entertaining and fun horse movie shot in marvelous outdoors with very well trained animals .

The scenes featuring the horses were breathtaking...

However the movie isn't perfect, it is slow in some places, the editing and story line is very choppy, and i don't get really invested until beauty is living in hardship.

The cinematography and animal choreography were stunning.

The score by Danny Elfman is simply outstanding; the strings are breathtaking.

Overlooking some weaknesses, it's an enjoyable movie.

You may think that it will be boring at first glance.

This film is brilliantly made and enjoyable for anyone of any age.

I first watched this movie, when i was a little kid, maybe fourth grade or earlier, before i saw this film i thought horses were boring and girly, after watching this movie, i begged my parents to buy a horse!

There is in the telling of this story a narrator whose ability to place intelligence in the very heart of these magnificent beasts is heart warming and engaging, truly this story skirts the issue of inspiration,it is that beautifully told.

The story dragged on and on and on.

ALL OF US WERE BORED OUT OF OUR MINDS!

It is beautifully and authentically shot, and has neither contrived animal cuteness nor a plot with contrived drama and sentimentality.

For the average viewer, Black Beauty is a film worth watching.

It's kind of slight, and a little slow.

Even my husband watched this film with me and the children and said that it was good and that he enjoyed it, so it can't be bad!!

The horses are filmed artistically, and the setting is stunning.

For the people that pass it by because it seems boring, or another childrens book adaptation, try it, it really is a wonderful picture.

The film is so beautiful and has a lot of poignant moments and an unexpected soft centre.

A Very Enjoyable Film .

I can guarantee that you will, maybe not love it, but certainly find it enjoyable, even if you are not into horses.

" This is boring!

Very engaging story!

Alan Cumming, the voice of Black Beauty was very monotone in his delivery and along with the pacing of the picture I found myself drifting away every so often, unable to concentrate on the story.

Throughout, the photography is stunning, with charming shots of the English countryside, and amazing sequences of the horses playing and frolicking together.

Its a wonderful touching story, thank you Anne Sewell for writing the stunning book, and Caroline Thompson for Making it into the film we all know and love.

A Wonderful, Stunning film .

Visually arresting, but boring and underdeveloped .

Some scenes are just breathtaking, especially for anyone who likes horses.

Exciting life of a horse named Black Beauty is here expanded to include the adventures of the humans who surround the horse .

The ups and downs of the various cruel and humane owners are intriguing.
