Enjoyed it thanks to Eddie and the amazing cast.

It was fascinating to see Rudy's pursuit of the American Dream.

Edie's performance is top notch and the plot is really engaging.

Eddie Murphy is so painfully dull protraying Dolemite it's such a shame.

A lot of screen time is dedicated to jokes that I don't really get, so the first half of the film is quite boring for me.

IN BRIEF: Lewd, crude and funny, with a comeback performance by Eddie Murphy that is highly entertaining.

It all comes together in the end and made the whole movie enjoyable and worthwhile.

I was dragged to the theater by my Dolemite-loving boyfriend and expected to be totally bored.

The story compelling.

This is a very, very good, funny, and engaging biopic that I feel a lot of people will get a kick out of.

Very funny and entertaining biopic .

The mix of aiming for the tops with being at the bottom is precision set in this most enjoyable film.

With ups and downs throughout his career, this true story lends itself to a very formulaic movie as a whole.

It's a feel good and thoroughly engaging film.

this movie was a waste of time hopefully as long as I draw breath will never have to watch it again.

The drama engaging.

Just a waste of time.

Even the sound track was great and made watching the movie more entertaining and inspiring!

This was a very entertaining film history experience.

Outstanding production and design, great directing, awesome writing - pacing a little slow though, excellent cinematography, soundtrack and score on point and all cast members were perfection!

Enjoyable and Entertaining Celebration of Diversity in Filmmaking .

It went from dull to duller, I dont know what was funny about Dolemite or the silly rhymes.

Instead, I just felt awkward and embarrassed by this pathetic story, and Eddie Murphy's acting in this movie is just over-the-top awkward and exaggeratedly pretentious.

This has to one of the funniest films I've seen this year, Eddie Murphy gives a inspiring performance as Rudy Ray Moore, he brings a certain dignity to playing a man who is just trying to be exceptional and eventually becomes a successful media star, and a Legend in the Hip Hop world years later, the supporting cast of actors also made the movie entertaining as well, the set pieces, costumes and music made me nostalgic , because I was a teenager and rushed to the theater to watch a lot of Black films of that era, the Director did a good job of bringing this project together, I am sure Rudy Ray Moore would have been proud of the way this movie turned out, Netflix gives us a good one this time.

Unbearable to sit through this movie , it gave me much pain.

It was kinda like watching "The Green Mile", which was equally as boring as this one, only this one tries to be funny also.

I was so so happy of seeing Eddie Murphy at his best in a film so so funny and entertaining, that makes me want to have more.

Saw this with two other film buffs at our local indie theater to get a jump on the Netflix release, and we all enjoyed it a whole lot.

With entertaining performance by the old and new cast members.

Helping out Brewer and Murphy with this quality experience are some fantastic supporting additions to the film's loaded cast, that while filled with notable additions like Keegan-Michael Key, Mike Epps, Craig Robinson and Snoop Dogg is bought to life by some downright brilliant supporting turns from Da'Vine Joy Randolph as Moore's protégé Lady Reed and a scene stealing Wesley Snipes as the pretentious Hollywood actor/director D'Urville, who much like Murphy revives a seemingly stagnated career in this film.

it's boring and not funny real dolamite is spinning in his grave.. DO NOT WATCH

It starts so well..then zzzz .

Murphy brought Moore to life seamlessly, and with a rather entertaining take.

Eddie Murphy stars as Rudy Ray Moore, and though it's not necessary, having some knowledge of the career of the real Mr. Moore will likely enhance your viewing experience during this exceedingly entertaining, and sometimes riotous biopic.

A very entertaining and well acted biopic about a common man who found his luck and became the inspiration for many artists in future generations.

It is an inspirational, touching, hilarious, and compelling portrait of an intriguing person.

Movie starts out slow with a little comedy and nothing more.

The movie takes a while to find its groove but when it does, there is much to admire, especially in its visual look and engaging cast.

Based on the true story of Rudy Ray Moore, Dolemite Is My Name pays a wonderful homage to both the time period and era of films in which Moore resided while also providing a wonderfully entertaining story from start to finish.

Raw, rude and raucously entertaining story of Rudy Ray Moore/Dolemite .

This movie was mildly entertaining; and it had a lot of potential.

To see these costumes up close was breathtaking.

Murphy immersed himself in this role and it pays off on screen.

This film is at times foul and other times touching and it deserves your attention throughout as it revels in the joys of telling a story deserving to be told and to be relished and enjoyed by anyone searching for an escape from the mundane or cynical stories prevalent in movies of today.

Eddie Murphy is absorbing and as charismatic as always.

don't waste your time

Dolemite is My Name can be called the same, but it is also "funny, inventive, and very entertaining".

A very enjoyable movie .

Entertaining, relatable and void of wokeness .

I do think this is a film everyone can enjoy, but I'll be bias and claim my brother, cousin, and I enjoyed it just a little more than most that haven't heard of this man before.

Complete and utter garbage movie don't waste your time .

Entertaining from start to finish and wonderful performances make "Dolemite" one of the year's best - 8/10 ⭐ .

A fabulous performance in an excellent and entertaining movie about a legend who is virtually unknown in the UK.

His raps will make you laugh and it's an entertaining film to enjoy.

Not having read a review or looked at the trailer, it was a complete leap of faith on a winters night, but I was soon warmed and immersed in the genius that is Eddie Murphy.

The movie has a good cast and good movie but it´s pretty slow, unlike most of Murphy´s films.

Eddie Murphy's performance is absolutely stunning.

Adding credence to the debate is the fact that this urban Shakespeare's films were rife with it in the 70s making Dolemite is my Name an entertaining historical event.

It was thoroughly entertaining and great to see Eddie being Eddie.

Front and centre to most of the film, Murphy is arguably the best his ever been as Moore and while the film doesn't exactly break new ground in the way in which it transpires, Dolemite's faithful recreation of the time period filled with colourful costumes, lovingly created sets and a killer soundtrack make the story of Moore's rise up the ranks an endlessly enjoyable experience.

I guess I fell asleep on the funny parts because so far their respective none!

Maybe its poorly cinematic made but sure its funny and entertaining and it has the massage , strong comeback for eddie murphy

Really enjoyable film.
