Overall it's the worst movie I've ever seen.

The story plods along to the incessant sounds of a steal drum calypso, bland jazz, and cheap Muzak, also the actual presentation style is curious and inconsistent.

Worst plot, Worst script, Worst movie I have ever seen.

I was thoroughly bored and for a film about a stand up comedian, I couldn't recall one joke or funny line worthy of the description.

Was it the broken and predictable structure of the story?

I couldn't even watch it all the way through, it was so badly acted, and it had very little plot.

Going bored .

i mean, it is adam's first movie, but i still find him enjoyable to watch, the 2 cuban terrorists are hilarious, and you even have Allen Covert as the bartender.

This is easily one of the worst movies I've ever seen.

Worst movie...

Don't waste your time.

I ended up putting the disc in the microwave it was so bad i fell asleep halfway through and my mom had to wake me up.

With unrealistic dialogue, and empty characters - this film is devoid of conflict and tension, making it at true struggle to actually sit through.

The movie assaults the viewer with dull comedy which is apparently supposed to be funny because it is so bad.

It uses tired, bottom of the barrel comedic techniques - consistently breaking the fourth wall as Sandler talks to the audience, and seemingly pointless montages of 'hot girls'.

About 3 weeks later I sold it at a yard sale for $3.00.Two days ago I found it on the "The 100 worst movies of all-time"list,and wanted to write a little something about it.

Not only because of the p***-poor camera work and the god-awful acting, but because there is no script.

Bottom Line: Truly awful, maybe the worst movie in the history of the universe.

Seriously the worst movie of all time .

For some odd reason - while I think the film does move kinda slow - I do find parts of it quite funny.

Pass this one up at the video store, I rented it for free and it was still a waste of time.

despite my preconceptions of this film i actually enjoyed it.

Unfunny, unimaginative, unwatchable.

this was one of the worst movies i've ever seen.

Worst Movie Ever .

The back of the box said it was hilarious, more like tedious is you ask me.

Going Nowhere .

it's the kinda film you should watch when you're having a really boring day and have nothing else to do.

This HAS to be the worst movie I've ever attempted to watch.

it is just so painfully boring, I regretted watching literally every scene.

this movie is a total waste of space and time.

This movie is by far the worst movie ever made.

Literally nothing happened in the half hour or so I saw.

Hats off to superbly entertaining commentary, and thanks - you saved my day.

Coming from a non-Adam Sandler fan, but liking his performances in Punch-Drunk Love, Reign Over Me, The Wedding Singer, Spanglish and Happy Gilmore, Going Overboard is down there with Jack and Jill and Little Nicky as the worst movie that he ever did, it really is that bad.

And even worse than the lack of story line was the parts when Sandler would just begin talking into the camera at random parts in the movie, it reminded me of Dora the Explorer when they turn and look at the screen and ask you questions.

thats right mind numbing boredom is better...

This movie, in my opinion, was the WORST movie EVER made,....

quite entertaining .

perhaps the worst movie ever made .

The lethargic and pointless narrative is worsened by constantly cutting away to Miss Universal confessionals, ridiculous dream sequences, and Burt Young as General Noriega who is actually watching the film itself on VHS, who defends his honor by shouting at the TV, "We'll see who gets the last laugh, you left over worthless kangaroo vomit!

Now, this is a technique that can work if utilized properly, but here, it seems forced and contrived, and it never really adds to the proceedings.

I won't rip on Adam Sandler because we all know him well enough to just accept the bad movies, but this movie is so mundane and uninteresting that it's hard to even consider it inoffensive.

Also on bored (sic) is mellow "Yellow Teeth" rock star Adam Rifkin (as Croaker), a bunch of beauty contestants in skimpy bathing suits, and a gang of card-carrying members of the SAG.

Please Don't Waste Your Time .

So, if you're REALLY bored, go rent it.

Pulling your teeth out might be more enjoyable then this flick.

Truly a slow and painful death.

it's jarring yet also boring...

This movie earns its title as the worst movie I have ever seen in my life.

There was no plot and no point.

The worst movie I have ever seen in my entire life .

The Characters were bland, the story didn't make sense, the directing was absolutely shocking and the person who wrote this should be assassinated.

The pacing is painfully slow.

His name crops up in several of the worst movies of all time, and he is a decent actor.

Terrible acting, terrible taste, no plot, no storyline, just ewww...

In my opinion, Don't buy this movie, its a waste of money

Other than that, dont waste your money.

I understand that this is early in his career but this is the worst movie i ever bought.

this is painfully unfunny and tedious.

The acting is uniformly abysmal, with Sandler alternating between trying way too hard in one scene, to looking bored and just reading his lines in the next.

Much of the humor is too drawn out, or too brief.

No plot, no acting, no comedy, no budget.

But if you decide to waste your time on this movie, don't say I didn't warn you.

However, as it is, the ridiculous plot is actually dragged further into the abyss by the awful one liners delivered by the finest comedian of our generation.

Adam Sandler is a great comedian and he would eventually hit his stride with films like Billy Madison and Happy Gilmore, but what we have here is a disjointed mess of potentially good gags and characters ruined by horrible acting and an even worse script.

There is no plot.

This is a story of gibberish that was so boring that you could not keep up with what was happening on the screen.

Until this moment in time I thought Hard To Kill was the worst movie I had ever seen.

You know that show on the SciFi Channel in which some guy and his muppet-machines spoof the most unwatchable horror flicks (Mystery Science Theatre).

lolTop 2 worst movies Going overboard Sugar and Spice

Throw in a couple of terrorists who are supposed to kill a girl on the ship but decide they too want to be comedians, a visibly low budget and a whole bunch of corny, disgusting and dull jokes and you've got the recipe used for Going Overboard, which should really just be thrown overboard.

Where can i begin when talking about how bad this movie is, i guess i can start with saying its in my top 10 worst movies of all time.

This film contains no funny moments, and features a complete lack of plot, my friend bought it on dvd, and after enduring a nightmare hour and a half, he proceeded to break the dvd with a spoon (the only weapon available at the time), so no one else in our house would have to endure it, PLEASE do not buy this film, no matter how cheap it is, if you are Sandler fans, there is no reason to buy it, also if you want to see it because of Burt Young, do yourself a favour, just go and watch Rocky again, believe me you'll feel better for it.

Absolute Waste Of Time .

The story is scattered and one-dimensional, the subplots feel contrived and out of place, and almost everyone in this movie seems as though they try way too hard for a laugh, including Sandler.

only movie EVER that I have walked out on...

It was also way too long.

It's like watching a painfully dull home movie.

ITS unwatchable and only funny to laugh at, at best.

In my opinion, a good comedy needs no plot, or maybe more accurately if your situations and characters are funny enough, it doesn't matter what your plot is.
