Among the most enjoyable and well made Christian films I have ever seen and among the most enjoyable films I have seen in the past several years.

Cheesy acting, overdramatic, churchy, religious propaganda.

I enjoyed it.

The acting was of the highest caliber, natural and compelling by all.

Waste of time and money (ours) .

Clean, gospel driven and enjoyable.

All the leads create quite a believable family, one that is entertaining, funny, and comes of natural in (most) of their deliveries of a family facing tough times that somehow makes it relevant in ways.

Another propaganda production .

I enjoyed it.

A complete waste of time and how about we never gonna talk about this movie again

Despite it's compelling and moving narrative, Overcomer still fails in what it is.

I loved this movie and will highly recommend it to everyone I know.

Unexpected Inspiration .

An extremely moving and enjoyable film .

This was a slow boring predictable movie with the worst acting I have ever witnessed.

The acting was excellent and the storying was relevant and gripping.

Yeah you tear up occasionally and you respect Overcomer's languid, PG rating.

The other half falls flat with its bland editing and acting.

Many of the animated style films from her early childhood tend to bore her now and we are not candidates for The Missing Link or The Adaams Family.

The movie dragged on with melodramatic talk scenes that only preached to its target audience.

We all need to see movies it out both entertaining and make you feel good.

Slow start.

Is this the worst movie I have ever seen?

This is such an enjoyable story, with good family life and breakthroughs in relationships.

So, if you are pre-disposed to propaganda-based movies, you will probably enjoy this.

There were some parts of the film that were predictable and other parts that surprised me, and all of it was enjoyable.

We all enjoyed it very much!

One of my areas of interest is to see Christian film get better and grow into a legitimate art form rather than co-opted into a glorified gospel tract or propaganda.

Although it can sometimes be a bit predictable, there were enough surprises to keep it interesting and entertaining.

Edit out the faith elements and the message of betrayal and redemption, bringing a wayward parent and the betrayed child is very compelling an uplifting.

Great film, fun and engaging.

I highly recommend it for church youth groups.

I was a little disoriented in the first hour of it, in how boring and amateurish it was, AS A MOVIE.

I love all of the Kendrick Brothers films but initially found this one to be a little predictable and a little on the cheesy side in the beginning.

The momentum in the film and the race will have you on the edge of your seat!

Young Aryn Wright-Thompson was so watchable and enjoyable.
