The scenes of them in the town are also quite fun with the group running into the massive horde on several occasions leading to some thrilling moments getting chased down the streets and into the back alleyways trying to dodge the snarling beings right on their heels and wading through the apocalyptic imagery there which leads to some chilling scenes here.

It starts pretty much like your standard/average horror movie cliché.

The movie is reasonable enough as a B movie with cheesy dialogue, pointless and poorly written plot points, and camera angles and shots that shy away from the parts where you'd put special effects and the gore.

SO cliché, bad effects, save your money and time!

The concept is intriguing, even if it does borrow a bit from the zombies that sleep while standing up in "Steve Niles' Remains.

The special effects and action sequences in "The Demented" are intense and very commanding as the cast fight (and as some die) to get to the safe location of extraction.

The movie was cliché as heck, it had very cheesy dialogue, it had the most stupidest moments ever, and there was very little suspense.

An effort is at least made to make the last ten or so minutes exciting, and the finale does at least trey to do something unexpected: not even perfect people have a happy endings.

)The ending was confusing and oh so, horrible.

What really works here is the fact that there's quite a lot of rather fun and frantic zombie action on display which gives this one such a fun and exciting pace throughout here.

I mean they stopped the cliché of the African American dying first.

Those are rather fun as well with the film featuring plenty of fine fighting in the kitchen to the chasing upstairs into the bedroom and dealing with the creatures there, and the eventual escape plan of running past them to get to the car and eventual safety makes for a thrilling action set-piece as they race past the creatures and get to safety.

It is as tedious and appalling an opening as you can imagine.

But still, the movie was enjoyable and actually fared well for a movie of this production value.

the ending, the last four minutes was easily one of the stupidest and worst movie endings I've ever seen.

Confusing .

I know this is a cheap film, but a bit of entertaining mayhem might have given it a bit more of an edge.

Lastly, the ending, believe me when I say this film has one of the most dumb and confusing endings in the history of horror films.

I watched this movie online for free and enjoyed it so much I bought it on sale.

They later become besieged by zombies of the fast-moving kind who for some reason at one point in the movie can't figure out what to do about a gate that is only a few inches taller than them.

Highly enjoyable zombie effort .

It had all the cliché a movie of that kind could have.

Apart from being dragged out, it tries too much to be clever.

Fast-moving zombie Olympic hopefuls compete for food.

The boyfriend cheating drama went nowhere and I am not sure why that was even tossed in.

It is predictable and bland.

Its only unfortunate because the film actually has a little bit of potential and they are just lucky that I enjoyed it for insane cheese factor.

I enjoy really good cheese and it was entertaining, didn't drag at all and was silly fun.

The zombie craze has turned from slow foot dragging, return from the dead, zombies to fast moving unthinking pack animals that attack uninfected people.

It's a little too long to last in a film like this which features them going at a faster clip and probably could've gone at a faster cadence since it doe slow the film somewhat.

Somehow disappointing and comes short of adrenaline.
