Although it was 13th most successful movie of 1987 and I really like Danny DeVito and Billy Crystal, I was quite bored and last night I turned it off half an hour before it ended.

I really really enjoyed it, i even stayed up till early morning to finish watching it on late night t.

this movie has funny sequences by Devito and Crystal, and crystal's literature class, but the other characters in the film, to be a bore .

And i have to admit i enjoyed it quite a lot.

I also thought the ending was incredibly stupid and predictable.

Further, Larry suggests Owen to watch Hitchcock's movies to understand the structure of a suspenseful story.

Not something I'd actively seek out to watch again, but it was semi- enjoyable nonetheless.

This scene goes on way too long.

It is, regardless, an enjoyable movie.

I admit that sometimes the plot does seem a tad contrived—especially the train ride.

Watching formulaic time wasters like this is like staring into an abyss of everlasting nothingness.

I cant believe this came out in 1987, that's wild, easily my favorite project of Danny's among several others; he's always entertaining!!

'Throw Momma From The Train' is gripping tale of 2 writers, both who hate their loved ones.

A lighter reworking of Alfred Hitchcock's suspense classic, Strangers on a Train, Throw Momma from the Train with Billy Crystal and Danny DeVito is a black comedy that's all fun and entertaining though terribly morbid.

In the end, though, "Throw Momma From The Train" is an entertaining, original movie with some very funny scenes.

Despite being dark around the edges,it really is an entertaining film.

The comedy is so unpredictable and twisted just enough to make us laugh out loud many times throughout.

Very entertaining and Devito's MOTHER!!!

The ending is mixed; the business on the train anti-climactic and a little sugary finally, the pop-up book part lovely and the final would-be wisecracking over a sea foreground is a predictable attempt at the feelgood.

I felt that this movie contained cliché after cliché.

As director though, De Vito's control is inconsistent as he wastes this clever idea, while his film lurches from the very humorous to the very bland.

For those that recall those lines, you also know how entertaining this film was.

All in all, its a very fun movie, with a slow start, and a fond nod to Hitchcock, with a surprisingly schmaltz free ending.
