It was also a bit slow and confusing at times.

But I was terrifically bored.

My theory is that the sound guy got bored and went down to the beach for a few beers with his boom -- all I could hear in half the scenes were the waves.

it seemed as if Mike Vogel's "Heath" was extra intense for no reason, whereas in the book you really got to see why Heathcliffe and Catherine felt like one person...

" I laughed out loud during all the "serious" scenes and was bored throughout the rest.

There are strokes of genius interspersed with much banality.

waste of my life, ....

I'll be honest, this is one of the worst movies ever.

Edgar is a gentle but bland man who loves Catherine honestly and strains to put up with her antics when Heathcliff returns.

The dialog is trite and one wonders how the actors managed to deliver any of it with straight faces.

He reminds me of a young Brad Pitt with those intense blue eyes.

i will say that this film hasn't taken the classic route of following the book, but what has been done with the film and the contents is really enjoyable.

Predictable story (Until the ending, which I barely understood).

What an empty and lack lustre rendition of the classic novel.
