And yet there are moments that are very entertaining.

A complete waste of time!

complete waste of time....!!. .

The story on the other hand is laughably unbelievable in its frail attempts at being The Godfather, at some point it even seemed to be balancing on parody, a scene in which Frankie tells of how all the confusion started at a driving range was particularly funny, when being compared to The Godfather.

The story is shockingly uninteresting because I've seen it hundreds of times before.

Frankly, it was VERY boring.

The film is quite slow which would turn some people off but for an average film it's still worth watching especially if you're a fan of Stallone's or Stowe's as both of them have some great moments throughout the movie.

One was the loyal bodyguard falling in love with his boss' daughter, the other was a good actor going through the motions of a script he clearly finds uninspiring.

The plot itself is actually pretty fresh, and the direction is very light, entertaining, and moves from scene to scene very well.

Fluff, but entertaining fluff .

It focuses on a girl named Jennifer (Madeleine Stowe), who is the estranged daughter of a gangster named Angelo (Anthony Quinn in his last role), who is killed off after a chain of confusion so complicated and amusing that words would not do it justice here.

This film is worth watching for the picture-perfect comic timing of the actress Madeleine Stowe.

With no cinema release, it has to get back the budget from DVD rentals, and why would you rent this when you can just get "Rambo III" and actually see the same guy doing stuff that's lots more entertaining?

What you see is what you get, an entertaining romantic-comedy that is easy to like and fun to watch.

What's also enjoyable is how Frankie disposes of the hit men that try to kill Jennifer.

As I have stated in the previous paragraph, the plot here is pretty simplistic and obviously predictable.

The two main problems with the film are that the chemistry between Stallone and Stowe is shaky at times, and the plot is fairly predictable and routine in its execution.

There's no plot to worry about, no high-action to dazzle you, just a good old fashion "bad" movie that is hilarious for that exact reason.

Very enjoyable romantic comedy/drama .

Don't pay attention to the previous comment; this film isn't like "The Specialist", & it is worth watching.

I found AA, to be a very enjoyable change of pace from what I have seen in the movies recently.

There are a few scenes in the film where Stallone shows his tender, engaging side, and several in which he just can't seem to find anything within himself to bring to this poorly developed screenplay.

When I looked at other people opinion about this movie I thought that I'm about to look some stupid and dull action movie.

Very entertaining indeed.

Its So boring and trys to be funny and romantic and deep at the same time with absolutely no succes....

Nonetheless, it's sufficiently busy with simple minded fun to make it an enjoyable no brainer for fans of the players or needy sofa spuds.

And is THE worst movie he made since 'Rocky'.

To do so, Frankie vows to protect Angelo's daughter Jennifer (Madeleine Stowe) from the mob scene, but (in predictable fashion) begins to fall in love with her, and (slowly) she with him.

An unassuming comedy, both entertaining and refreshing .

And with the hugely enjoyable Expendable franchise and Creed.

This one is predictable like the others and if you can close your eyes on that part, you will see that this movie isn't that bad.

It's true the screenplay is flawed with some dull moments and painful jokes and the pace is slow.

The movie is fairly predictable.

Today must have been a truly silly day because Avenging Angelo is a truly silly movie, and I truly enjoyed it.

) distracted me, and some awful supporting actors Billy Gardell and Harry Von Gorgum being the worst offenders For a man who is meant to be "in the shadows watching" and is always told to "Keep the distance" it's ludicrous that he is prominent in so many photographs of Jennifer (stood watching her on a merry-go- round or with his head popped over a fence) Made at a low point in Sly Stallone's career, 'Avenging Angelo' is easily one of the worst movies Sly has made.

While everything is clichéd and predictable, one thing that most romantic comedy do wrong is to focus on the plot instead of the characters.

This has the feel of a movie of the week with a predictable plot, ridiculous dialogue and just dumb situations.
