Possibly the most contrived, painful-to-view movies I've ever seen .

When the world shuts down, a small group of lifelong friends embark on a journey of pot smoking, drinking, rapping, inner circle fighting, infidelity, jealousy, confusion, and pointless drama.

Nothing happens for half an hour.

This film wasted itself by showing how some selfish entitled people can show gross disregard for everything in an uninteresting way.

Lulz ensue, but not many, until the vaguely trashy goth-esque chick explodes in a brutally accurate screed during a "talent show", condemning the rest of the group as a bunch of stuck-up, boring, not-as-smart-as-they-think social retards.

This under-rated little film is a slow build story of relationships in all their real-life complexity.

They try to weave a mystery about who caused the apocalypse but essentially they're trying to create this coming of age/reunion/Big Chill type vibe with a background set at the end of the world.

But to be honest, I was really bored by the end results.

If only the filmmakers had had a decent script to work with, they may have come up with something worth watching.

The 'libertarian' is portrayed as trite and shallow, the intellectual liberals are lauded and the violent eco-terrorist is celebrated.

) I was particularly intrigued by the experience of living remotely (off the grid) and the surrounding culture & dynamics that came with- the neighbors, the "outsiders" the "intruders", etc. Nicely done, entertaining and thoughtful.

" but in a superficial and trite way.

this movie just teach me ONE thing: next time i notice a movie is so bad, i should never ever watch it till the end, it's a pure waste of time and money, and to watch that make you feel so stupid and in a bad moodworst movie ever, it's a shame this kind of movie exist

but the dialogue is so cliché and predictable and forced and contrived, it's unbearable.

Intriguing film.

And, as I say every now and again, I really think this could make for a TV series worth watching, if just because all the characters are so diverse and interesting.

The dialogue is pretty hollow and many of the sub plots are predictable.

After a while tempers start to rise and the mutual conversations become snappy and razor sharp.

The producers really kept a good balance of true content, character development, and riveting situations.

) The characters were all totally unique and engaging; performances all great, especially Hanna.

Now acting presumptuous, slow, almost clumsy.

Boring-ass movie.

To me, this movie met my all my internal requirements for being entertaining and memorable.

The apocalypse that is going on at that time, suddenly seems a banal and trivial event.

I found many of the characters enjoyable and it was fun to watch the evolution (or devolution) of the friends' relationships.

However, halfway through the movie, it started to get cliché and by the last 3rd it was just going through the motions.

Excruciatingly dull and vapid film that tries to be unique .

But perhaps it was the interconnecting relationships, and scrutiny of each other, which made this a fascinating watch.

I literally dozed off because it was so boring.

The drama conflict got boring.

For some reason it reminded me of the "The Breakfast Club (1985)" & "Sixteen Candles (1984)" kind of movies & I totally enjoyed it a bunch, the 80's was the best time especially in the movie & music area's, Oh how I miss that time, so this movie was a breath of fresh air, sort of like a throw back to the past for some reason.

Eclectic and Enjoyable Ride in the Face of Impending Doom.

Back to nothing happening.

Some parts of it are very funny and entertaining while others really slow the movie down.

Slow and had nothing really to do with the end of the world theme.

As James lay helpless and pleading for his life, an unexpected savior rises from obscurity and makes a critical decision that sends shock waves through both groups and appears to put the rivalry behind them and ultimately will unite both groups.

Some of it is very predictable and some of it comes out of nowhere.

If you're looking for a refreshing antidote to the usual formulaic entertainment, this is it.
