Had me on the edge of my seat.

The eldest daughter was irritating and somebody please explain how the mother survived an axe in the stomach overnight, tied up in a trunk, but was able to miraculously untie herself and kill the pointless killer?

Only finished it because I was bored .

Sure, this isn't the best horror movie ever, it's fairly cliché with all the well-known ingredients, like a big remote house, a murdering psychopath on the loose, and the intended victims making one bad choice after another.

Great movie for insomniacs , Boring as bat guano.

He Died Of Boredom .

The actor's are good and it's fast paced from start to finish.

Where do i start .. overacting by the two kids .. such a cliché horror movie .. almost seems like the scary movies series .. give this a pass ...

Very annoying, empty, cliche-filled garbage.

There's the occasional gory murder to break up the tedium but otherwise this is par for the course, complete with tedious overacting from the main characters and a tired air of predictability to the proceedings.

Very bland and the music is subpar (for a horror movie!

Don't waste your time .

if you want to enjoy a horror move with your partner and be on the edge of your seat almost from start to finish then it's really worth watching...

They need to just crowdsource for ideas because clearly the people who are supposed to know what they are doing just keep rehashing the same cliché stuff.

Overall a rather boring, by-the-numbers, stalker-slasher film with predictable events, some below-par acting and some lazy script-writing, especially the extremely predictable ending just before the credits roll.

it is intense.

Predictable and lacks tension .

Cons: 😪 I thought the film was a bit slow.

Well worth watching.

A mother and her two daughters go to a cabin by the lake on vacation, the husband is running late etc etc etc. It's so cliche it hurts, it's 2018 why do they still make movies like this?

Please ignore bad comments watch this film it's well made and entertaining fabulous

Disjointed mess of a plot .

Meanwhile, they are being harassed by an ax murderer, the sole suspect is a boy who went missing years ago, slow in the head.

And to piggyback on the review before mine, yes the children whine SSOOOO much it makes the movie nearly unbearable.

This movie is absolutely predictable, nothing new, nothing original.

Waste of time.

'He's Out There' also falls downhill in quality quite quickly and too early, the opening was intriguing and unsettling but the rest of the film suffered from being far too predictable and lacking in tension and suspense to be scary (the scares are also infrequent and all are obvious and with nothing to them) and too dull in pace and dreary in atmosphere to be interesting.

So cliche.

Worth watching.

And it absolutely does the job, I sat on the edge of my chair for the whole movie!!

Don't waste your time.

First of all, the kids and their constant screaming and crying made it nearly unbearable at times.

There are hundreds of films exactly like "He's Out There", don't waste your time with this one.

The bizarre-ness is taken too far and becomes annoying and confused, coherence is compromised, while the ending is contrived and can be seen from miles off.

The child actors make this movie unwatchable.

Bad storyline , really dragged out and boring.

Director Quinn Lasher relates the tight and gripping story at a constant pace, makes nice use of the isolated sylvan setting, takes time to develop the characters, aby crafts a tense and unsettling atmosphere, and generates a considerable amount of nerve-jangling suspense.

Can watch if bored and seen every other horror movie twice lol .

Gripping horror film .

Overall a cliched boring movie with very little suspense or real plot, no character development and pretty shoddy acting.

It's ridiculous, very formulaic and repetitive.

Worth watching .

Its unbearable, i muted it for about 15 minutes just so i could say i watched the movie.

As a mother it had me on the edge of my seat and I was thinking about all the things I would do in that situation.

No storyline, cheap rip off from Texas Chainsaw Massacre.

Pointless interaction.

You ruined this movie with your high pitch repetitive whining and shrieking, I spent the whole film hoping that both children would die so that they'd finally stop shrieking.

I have to kind of agree about the annoying, screaming of the girls and the cliché ending.

Don't waste your time and money.

Enjoyable psychopath thriller .

Do have to agree with everybody regarding the children, have not in a long time seen child performances this irritating and it completely diminished any sympathy one should feel for the family, which one doesn't do because they are so flimsily developed and the chemistry is so bland and unnatural.

Predictable, boring, and to top it all off, two screaming brats who couldn't act their way out of a paperbag.

Adding to that, some of the most predictable and idiotic male deaths scenes that I have ever watched.

It's pretty confusing.

Extremely Gripping!.

To bad cause it change the rhythm of the sequences and sometimes it gets to much bored.

Worst movie I've ever seen in my life.

Far from flawless, but had me on the edge of my seat .

The increasing tension ensures that you'll be sitting on the edge of your chair.

There was one horror movie cliche after another, terrible decision making by the characters, next to no backstory to the killer, no explanation as to why he is even trying to kill this family.

The script was so lackluster and literally went nowhere.

The bad guy was pretty creepy though and I was on the edge of my seat for most of it, so I awarded stars for that.

Some confusion comes with the movie...

Worth a watch if you're bored.

Another stupidest movie and waste the father and daughters time watching it.

It's also predictable from beginning to end.

A good psychopath character is always thrilling to watch.

Predictable but worth watching.

The circumstances and odd and the ending is quite frankly- predictable.

I knew the storybook would play a significant role but wow that's unexpected.

Quite gripping .

This is a movie which is completely cliche.

In the last half hour it resorts to cliche after cliche.

I thought this film was quite good kept me entertained and on the edge of my seat dont understand how the guy wanted to kill them tho may be should of explained about him in beginning

Entertaining enough, typical genre exercise.

and very boring.

This isn't an award winning flick or anything but dang, it was entertaining.

I recommend this film if you like horror gripping films , it's full of suspense and keeps you on the edge !

It kept me on the edge of my seat and it had such a creepy atmosphere.

The worst movie ever!!!!!!!!

A bit dragged out and boring .

Standard horror but highly entertaining.

Decent movie, similar plot to many out there but entertaining.

Overall, I bloody loved this movie, it doesn't add anything new to the genre, but it was well made and engaging.

Me and my wife quite enjoyed it ..

This is one of the worst movies I have ever seen.

Predictable, cliché, and by-the-numbers.

No story at all.

Of course it had some cliches and it gave you a lot more questions than answers but it was entertaining.

I'm one of thoes desensitized horror movie watchers but this movie got dark and creepy slowly but unexpected.

oh, and if youre looking for any sort of resolution or method-behind-the-madness at the end, well, theres a very bland monologue by the bad guy which comes full circle to mean nothing at all.

We get a cat-and-mouse game between the psychotic killer and the family inside and outside of the house, with predictable set-pieces and outcomes.

Run of the mill, uninteresting and ultimately unfulfilling .

I enjoyed it overall.

As far as horror films go, this is a good one well worth the watch.

There were some good intense, jumpy moments but otherwise predictable.

For some reason I assumed early on this was going to be a slow burn, not the sustained horror-thriller it turned out to be.

I like cheesy, predictable horror movies and this one fit right in.

Even the end was so predictable that I had to sigh deeply.

The ending fight scene between Laura and the Killer however, was really good and intense to me.
