While the ending of the third movie and the chasing scenes with the boats was rather dumb, the ending of the fourth part with the air planes is really entertaining and quite spectacular.

That would have made this an excellent film instead of a cursorily enjoyable one, because the last 25 minutes are good, with quite a few flashes of greatness.

On the other side, there are many scenes that are somewhat overlong, ridiculous and boring for example the first minutes of the movie or the ninja fighting scene on a boat in the end.

POLICE ACADEMY maybe never tried to be even original or that cool, but it least it had have been trying to be entertaining, and sometimes funny.

I would give between five and six points to the movie and ultimately rate it up for this site as the average vote of this mostly enjoyable flick is still way too severe.

A lot of the humor is predictable and (most annoyingly) often repeated.

Taking this predictable slapstick into four more follow-up films (with totally forgettable stories, was just a bit too much.

An entertaining airborne finale is rather impressive as well.

The whole movie was a bore.

But I did feel like this is the weakest I have seen so far out of the sequels, it could have had more laughs, but it is worth the watch.

Guttenberg hardly has any highlights, well, neither do many of the other regulars, and you could tell Guttenberg wanted to move on to other films, Winslow adds some entertainment with his self-made sound effects, including a rap while some civilians are exercising, but it's very pointless.

Many of the new characters are good, but Drake is comfortable to let the film be a slow cooker, far too slow for where he eventually goes with it.

Even the regulars seem rather tired and bored.

The cinematography is still shot well, the music remains entertaining and the reunion of Mahoney and Capt. Harris bring back so good jokes.

But surprisingly the movie still works as we are happy to meet the old and well known characters again and even if most of the scenes and jokes are predictable, they are still funny and have their moments.

This just feels terribly dull, uninspired and has some of the worst comedy I've seen, you can't even call it slapstick, its just sh*t.

It's entertaining, and sometimes funny.

It is also still highly entertaining and causes me to laugh often.

I think its been dragged down because of the fact it is from 1987 and seems dated like anything else from the 80's that was not mega budget like ET, and also it had the misfortune to produce a number 7 seven years later.

This movie was really good, it was funny, entertaining, and just down right fun.

It was great to have the old gang back together, even if the movie needed a little work, they still made the movie very enjoyable.

No story or real purpose, and the beginning of the end.

And the characters; they're so boring and finished already!

Most of them are actually being pretty bad or worse and lose what was enjoyable about the original in the first place.

The whole film is very boring and extremely childish, on top of that nothing makes any sense now, its just bits n pieces thrown together.

Only this time, the lack of literally any antagonist make this trip down memory lane a complete waste of time.

The entertaining parts are though still in the majority.

While it's slow cooking, he treats the C.
