Mediocre Cage flick with decidedly cliched and trite elements simply to propel the film.

If you really need to watch a movie that plays on a boat with some lurking threat i highly suggest "Deep Rising" from 1998, its without Cage but with Janssen, much better pacing and much more entertaining to watch.

Enjoyable Fun Movie .

Or they can turn him into a kung foo fighter and if the movie is gonna be extremely boring as they all are with him at least wel see some fighting.

Waste of time .

Worst movie .

The story is absolutely predictable and full of clichés.

That said everyone can act, there are a few surprises during an action packed thrill ride and the ending ties lots of things up nicely.

One of the worst movies I've seen this year Famke Janssen please stop whatever happened to you and don't act anymore.

Action thrilling .

By the numbers boredom and the number is 4/10 .

Worst movie I ever seen in my life bad acting I hate it so much .

Simple Worth watching if you hav really nothing to do.

And to be honest, compared to "A score to settle", "Kill Chain", and "Running with the devil" (I shamelessly fell asleep while watching this last one), this Cage-B-film isn't that bad.

Sure, this wasn't an outstanding movie, but it was watchable and enjoyable enough for what it turned out to be, if you can take your focus away from certain abysmal-looking things in the movie.

Nic Cage gets worse every movie, this was borderline unwatchable.

Enjoyable Movie .

Best Cage flick this year, you've got to laugh at times with this film but it's very entertaining.

Around the half way mark of the film you begin to wonder what the whole point of the film's animals on the loose idea even is, as Loffler takes centre stage and the badly CGI'd jaguar, snakes and monkeys get short shift as Cage gets lost in a dull procession of setups that anchor the 'Crazy Cage' the film needed.

Very intelligent film and thoroughly enjoyed it and I honestly can't believe it's only got 4 on IMDB, so I'm going give this a........

When it gets boring just have him do that.

Hearing about the chance to witness an angry Cage as hunter and black market animal trader Frank Walsh go toe to toe against a rare white jaguar, as well as Kevin Durrand's off the rails government assassin on a cargo boat bound for Puerto Rico makes you excited for what oddities could be coming our way, but sadly stunt man turned director Nick Powell ensures Primal is a mostly boring and lethargic exercise.

For a more entertaining film from him you better watch one of his 90's films.

For being a B movie it was entertaining.

Throughly entertaining movie throughout , with a phenomenal cast and great action scenes.

The film is a little too predictable as the climax you should be able to figure out from what I gave you and the cat prefers to feed on people.

Enjoyable guilty pleasure .

This movie is Slow, Stupid, Uneventful, Predictable, Boring, Very hard to watch...

Action scenes are boring.

I enjoyed it and I think most others would not feel robbed of time if they watched it.

This film is for the most part a well paced intense solid action film that utilizes Cage well as the protagonist with a very interesting setting and set of supporting characters.

and everything goes ka-boom when man animal and machine are let loose in a primeal fight to survive..if you like nonstop action movies from the 80's and 90's youre on the right track actually, the grumpy old man though fell asleep on the couch near the end.

Predictable from start til stop.

One of the worst movies that I have seen lately, how can anyone give this movie 6,7 or more stars rating🤔....

Like I said in title - it's waste of time.

Nicholas cage at his usial standard, pathetic, predictable an boring.

Waste of time .

It's entertaining and has a decent cast.

Primal seems a bit faint and is more entertaining if you don't expect too much.

If you like Cage or entertaining thrillers, give this a shot.

I could tolerate to watch max 15 minutes and it was a waste of time

An enjoyable B movie ride.

I enjoyed it thoroughly.

2 actors way past their prime, a bad guy who is ridiculously hard to kill, this is one to fall asleep too at best.

Boring movie, made me fall asleep.

The rest of the ending also predictable.

On top of that this mix of Die Hard in a boat and with some wild animals loose is tense and entertaining enough to spent a very good two hours.

Just enjoyable on an evening where you don't care about the goofs.

Without this tension, the film quickly turns into a long-winded, predictable cruise.

I expected the ending but getting there was enjoyable.

A ridiculously fun action packed spectacle that transports you back to the 90s glory days of the genre.

In the end, watching the forgettable "Primal" is an absolute waste of time.

Boring movie, with a lot of bad stereotypes.

Nicolas Cage's willingness to sign up for what appears to be any film that comes across his desk, has made for one of the most interesting and unpredictable modern day acting careers.

The crucial question you can ask yourself is of course: "Is this movie worth watching or is it completely rubbish?

And a big coincidence happens, he is in the same ship as ''one very dangerous prisoner, captured by a lot of great agents'' another cliché.
